This will be my new guy on Wednesday just bought him today, i decided since my betta butters died i would buy something a bit special to cheer myself up.
I just bought these CT bettas to pair from sirinut betta farm! I am very excited to breed these two.
I think I'm naming them kyanite and tourmaline. (After the stones/gem/mineral). Or a.k.a. Kya and Mal.
Welcome Timbuirma! You can see you are in a good place, in good company here!!!Just bought him a couple of days ago. It's my first Betta and i'm already addicted to them. When i saw him at the shop i just HAD to buy him. He lives peacefully with 6 cardinals and 6 rummy-nose Tetra's in a 20 gallon tank.
Holy wowers!!! Where ever did you get that one and for how much???
Wanting to get a bigger tank for my betta. The one I'm looking at comes with a whisper filter. If I get that, is it still best to cycle the tank for a while before putting the betta in?
It's been a while since I cycled a tank! Help me?!
Thanks!
Do you have a filter on the tank he's in at the moment? If you do pass that one over to your new tank and run both filters for a while, that's what I did when I moved my betta to the 16gallon.

Oh, I also bought this "fire hawk" male to pair with my light green dragon female.

He is beautiful- if only he were turquoise or green.... Thanks for the heads up- 2 empty large tanks- 50g and 55g....
Aquabid is awesome- I have a couple local breeders that have come up with some beautiful rainbow colored giants tri tailed.... I'm thinking about betta imbellis or other type of betta other than Splendens, if anyone has suggestions
