I've noticed that in my batch too, the father is a white Halfmoon, so it's pretty weird.
 
Here are my 3 boys! I just got the half moon yesterday and he is gorgeous! He has translucent fins until the light hits him perfectly, and then all his fins turn electric blue. I absolutely adore him. The dark blue one was just recently added to my community tank and he is... 5 years old. And then the veil tail is our second most recent and he does great in his 10 gallon community.

Their names are Thor, Captain A, and Loki

I went to a local fish store I've never been to and they had ONE betta I really loved. If I knew I wasn't going to get mine shipped for sure, I would have bought him! He was a black crown tail! Was so pretty! ?
 
I just realized that my gorgeous pure white female betta is... PINK. A lot of the foods I feed are red with color enhancers... And after a few months of gobbling them up she is a baby pink color. Oops... I think I'm going to cut back on the red foods for a while and hopefully she fades a little. She is still very pretty, just... Pink.

Oh, and I got a double tail male at petco yesterday, so I will be posting pictures soon!

This will be my new guy on Wednesday just bought him today, i decided since my betta butters died i would buy something a bit special to cheer myself up.

I am so, so sorry this is happening to you. :( I had such good service from this place! I wish you luck in getting your funds back and I hope everything works out in the end. From my experience with him I totally thought he was a legitimately good person to buy from. :(

It's ok! It's a little disappointing... I keep holding out hope that he's been out of town again and will get back to me soon!
Buuuut I don't know if that's going to happen at this point, will keep ya posted!
