Skimmer reco for 28G Nano Cube

I thought my new Nano came with a skimmer, not. Any reco's for one I can slip into one of the chambers? The JBJ model they suggest looks like a piece of garbage. Do I even need one for this size tank? Are PWC's enough?

PWC's will definitely be enough for filtration. As long as you have live rock, you'll be fine with PWC's. Skimmers are recommended for tanks 40G +, and a 28G is still in the nano category so your fine. Don't even waste your money on a skimmer for a tank that small.

Thanks for the confirmation. Still waiting now for my RO/DI system then I can head to the LFS for some rock and sand! Just set up the stand and going to test the lights and do a leak test.

Sounds like you've got a plan. I'm still waiting on my RO/DI unit as well, but i have everything else.

I guess I could start with distilled water if I really have to.

Didn't realize the center overflow had a window, now I can do a real mini fuge!
