Yes they are and before you know it you will have too many snails, if you don't have any fish that eat the eggs before they hatch. One of my tanks have juvenile Danios that will pick them apart before hatching keeping the population down, my other tanks require human intervention to maintain it.So I saw this in my tank today, i've got a few snails and some neon tetra's in it.
