My tank has now been up for 3 months. 120Gal w/ 100Gal Sump. The other morning I noticed a string/coil of white on my glass. I tried to get a pic but I wasn't able to get one to come out good. So I'll describe it best I can. The coil was about 3 inches long and half an inch wide. The "string" itself was maybe 1/32" across. The string was composed of a near white material with even smaller whitish dots. When I cleaned the stuff off the glass it broke up into smaller strings and floated off.
Currently I have Astrae, Cerith and Nassarius snails. The coil look similar to the clean patches of glass the cerith snails leave.
Where these snail eggs? If not anyone got any idea on what they were?
