Stocking 40 gallon Tank

Im wanting to start a freshwater tank in the near future and have been looking around online for stocking ideas but there are so many conflicting opinions!
I was thinking something like below for a 40 gallon/165 litre tank

- 2-3 Powder Blue Dwarf Gouramis - definitely want these to be the feature of my tank
- 6 Glass catfish - also love these
- A school of Harlequin rasbora which i love! (someone tell me how many would be good)
- a couple plecos of some sort
- and maybe eventually a couple butterfly rams

Can i please have some opinions on that + would appreciate any suggestions anyone has!

Actually on a first glance I like it. I'd go 8 or 10 fish for the schools. I find going as large as you can but still keep count / track of, results in a more natural display from fish.
