Plans for my 155g fell through so it looks like I'm going to be keeping this new 55g for a while. I plan on using a sump (is 10g about right?) as well as having it relatively heavily planted. Does anyone have any suggestions for fish that can thrive in a 55g and that don't bother plants too much? I'm looking for something a bit more exotic than tetras etc.

Thanks,
Ryan

Well since nobody has responded, you could do 2 green spotted puffers with an array of ghost shrimp. Only thing is you'd have to convert to brackish. You probably shouldn't do any more than 2 puffers though. They get big.

I would go with some boesemani rainbows and a school of glass cats to start.

Not a bad idea. You could do a huge school of neon tetras. That'd look cool.

Rainbow fish and rummynose tetras with panda corys and Kuhli loaches. And glass cats would be cool but need a good school to live longer. A school of 6 would work well with rainbows and rummynoses
