Hi, I just took down my 30 gal tank. I am going to have to store it and my equipment (skimmer, fluval, powerheads, heaters) for a while. Whats the best way to clean everything out so it will be usable in the future? I filled the tank up with fresh water and a little bleach to clean it out. Is this ok? Can I do the same for my equip? Thanks!

mmmm...bleach SHOULD be ok..i've read where people say to use it...onlly dont use a lot, just a little bit will do. The best way imo would be to use vinegar. never done it but i heard of it. Its natural (i think lol) so it'd be safe for future fish. Also, for some of the stuff you could use a razor to scrape of the buildup and stuff. I just would try not to do that on the front viewing glass on your tank in case you scratch it, but everywhere else i think would be fine.

HTH
