on the return line I like how it is not a full 90 degrees at once it is two 45 degree pvc corners
good ideas when hard plumbing it.

I have 45s at both ends, better water flow then the 90.

Should I go with a 25 gallon sump or just build a 55 gallon tank into a sump? Cost wise I can pick up the 25 gallon wet/dry for $30 and the 55 for $30 but I would be converting the 55 into a sump.

I would go with the 55 and make that your sump

Bought it for $25 unfortunately it's a tall but I'm going to give it a go anyways. Quick question is using window glass for baffles a good idea?

Why not? I got the glass for my sump precut at lowes.
