I'm looking at new tanks, the one I have in mind is a Rekord 120.

I have one question which I can't find the answer to, even in the instruction manual for the tank which I downloaded. Hopefully somebody out there may have one!

The question is - is there a built in timer for the light on this tank? If not, is the lighting on a separate power supply so I could put a timer switch on the plug.

The biggest problem I have with my little 10g Tropiquarium - the light is controlled by a switch on the hood & the mains plug also serves the filter ... not good if I go away for a weekend!

I hope our UK friends can help you out. I never heard of this tank so I guess its a UK brand.

I am not familiar with this tank either. I'm thinking if the lights are wired into the main plug with no timer, it would be an easy job to cut the wires and splice them to a plug. Then you could use any timer you wanted.
