I am moving my 29 gallon into my room when I finish building the stand. My concern is that where I want to put it is only 28" between the window trim (see below picture). I keep the blinds closed almost all the time so I don't think light will be an issue, but I could be wrong. The floor joists run perpendicular to the wall pictured so weight isn't an issue.

What's everyones opinion on placing a 30" tank in a 28" space?

I think it would be fine, If the windows are facing west would be good if not I would definitely put a dark backing on the tank , so all should be good........

I almost put a rock identical to that one in my 60 but found another place in my room for it! Tank looks great!
