I have a a mult-tube structure that is clear at the base of my polyps. It appeared out of no where. It's hard to get a good pic. Will this stop my polyps from growing or will they grow around it

They should grow around them as they could be any variety of tube worm.

From the blurry pic ...it looks like sponge. The zoas will not grow over it, but it shouldn't cause much of a problem for them to go around. If so, you can always scrape it off.

Yea it's hard to get a good pic of it. The stuff is starting to grow around every head. I did scrape some off. Kind of a pain trying to get around each polyp

I have seen a fungus form on zoas, that sort of resembles a thick cottony substance. I would give the frag an iodine dip if so.

Ok. It is kinda like cotton. What type of iodine should I get

No Lugol's coral dip? I don't know the strength of that supplement. Maybe in a higher dose you can use that as a dip, but I'm not sure how much to use.
