Recently a friend who was in the fish hobby gave me a 40/20/10g tank and a sunun canister and cascade canister.

At first i was like this is great I'm going to have all the tanks but, I'm the kind of person that puts all their eggs in one basket.

I was thinking of putting the SunSun 303b (because of the UV) on the 110 in addition to the Ehiem i already have (pro 600)

But anther thought was, i wouldn't mind having a nice 40g sump, and keep the eheim on it as well.

Right now my set up is:

15 Rummy Nose
6 Otto
6 Corys
5 Silver Mollys
3 Dojo Loaches
1 Clown Pleco
1 Blue Phantom Pleco
1 African butterfly

with 11 Baby angels currently in quarantine

If i have a refugium i can get a Crawdad too! Haha always wanted one but couldn't because i have a planted tank

Imho, sumps are overrated on freshwater tanks. I would say go with the extra tanks and just set up a separate tank for some crawdads :)

I was planning on re doing some plumbing on the tank to just add a second intake for the sunsun and use the 20g for a sump for a salt water 40g. I’ll have to get approval from the wife though!
