Hi Thank you both for the info, I have phosguard in the sump tank and all my Ammonia, nitrites, phosphate and nitrates are all 0 and I have the power heads. I will try turning the light off for a few days and see how it goes.

How long should I be leaving on my blue and white lights?

Hi
hey ben did you get rid of the algae, did you turn the lights off,
i have the same problem but am a little worried of leaving off the lights.
cheers

Cyano is actually bacterial, not algal.

Flamingos get their coloration because of the beta carotene present in the shrimp and blue green algae that is included in their diet. Not because of eating red algae.

Hey, I turned off the lights for 3 days and I have shortern the time of lights on aswel, it's seems to have stop growing for 1 week but it's still there.
Is there any thing else i should do?

Manually remove all you can during your next WC.

ok thank you i will do this this weekend, I will let you know how it goes.

I would siphon as much up as possible of it. Keep an eye on your nitrate and phosphate levels. We also have a great article on it in our articles section.
