Nope not the same... Aiptasia is much worse... But majano can take over a tank too if not controlled... I have a few in my tank that are not bothering anything....
Keep an eye on it but i dont think there is any threat to your system from it... If it does star to multiply there is medication to kill them off so you need not worry...
Lol not my cup of tea i personally dont kill anything in my reef even if it is a nuisance to me its still a living creature trying to survive! But its your call...
if its not a nuisance coral and its not potentially killing other corals, why even bother? that's like saying you cant id a fish but because you feel it may kill another fish, you decide to kill it
I don't think it's aiptasia or a majano. I leave it be, maybe try and get a closer pic if you can, it's hard to see lol. Could be a ball anemone which are really cool.
It opens and closes..I know that..sometimes it has little arms around it..and sometimes its like closed and I can't see em. I'll leave him till it grows and I can positively ID him. I'll gladly take freebies! Lol. Thanks guys..I was looking on nems. And I couldn't find on who was red/pink when small like that..it seems like they sprout up with stems before you even know they are there..
