I've been cycling (Fish-In since April). Here are my current readings:

ph: 6.0 (tap water is 7.4)
Ammonia .25 - .5ppm
Nitrite: .75ppm
Nitrate: 10 - 15ppm

I did a 60% PWC about a week ago (when I was pretty sure it was done cycling) and came home from vacation to these readings. What do you think is going on with my cycle and how far along is it?

That's crazy. It should've taken about 4-6 weeks to cycle this tank.

What size is it and what do you have in it?

What test kit are you using?

The pH is most likely the issue. As you approach the 6 level, nitrification slows and will eventually stop all together if allowed to drop low enough. I would do several small pwc's over the course of a few days to restore the natural tap waters pH value, and run a small mesh bag of crushed coral in your filter to buffer the water and hold the pH steady.

I am using the API test kit and had the LFS confirm my results. It's a 65 gallon with a 15 gallon sump.

After my pwc change yesterday, I'm getting less than a solid .25 ppm nitrite reading. I also added some crushed coral to the sump as suggested.
