Hi All
I've been hunting around for salt mixes to begin my new SW tank and found so many brands, which brand is favored by the community?

OH NO not another which salt is better question? LOL This is one of those questions that if you ask 10 different people you`ll get 11 different answers. I guess I`ll start it off. I use Oceanic. It keeps my calcium where it needs to be by only doing weekly PWC`s. It kind of has a low alk point but no mix is perfect or we`d all be using it. There`s several threads asking this same question you might want to do a search on to see what others in the past have used. Here are some

There are no "bad" salts. Any salt will work, but some work better than others, depending on how the tank is setup.

That's a good thing to hear. I want to start of with FOWLR tank and possibly migrate to a reef, is it possible to switch salt mixes to accommodate new specimens without having any ill effects?

Thanks, I'll check out the other threads.

Like Melosu stated you will get many different answers, but I use Instant Ocean for my FOWLER.
