White Sheen

Hi all,
I have a newly planted tank and the water parameters are in line. I noticed today that there is what looks like a milky or white sheen on the water. Does anyone know what this could be?

Yea that looks like stagnate water, you just need something to disrupt the surface.

Not sure what is going on, here is what happened after I fed them.

I do off gas CO2 at night with an air stone. Is it some sort of a protein?

I know what you mean but this just started yesterday.

Well I actually noticed something similar last week in my tank, I reduced the amount of water in the tank so my filter outflow would disturb the surface water, and I haven't had any issues. It might be because the waters surface being disturbed is just hiding whatever it is, so I am interested in seeing what others say as well..
