Hi guys, I just set this tank up yesterday. Everything looks great, today I noticed white stuff growing on the wood. Does anybody have any idea what it is? Please see attached photo.

What should I do?

Thanks.

Hello,

I had the same “issue” at the beginning of my tank.

They told me it’s common appears when the piece is new in your tank and it’s not harmless to fish.

When I added my first fishes (Molly) they ate all these “algae” in one night :)

It's biofilm, it can be scrubbed off if you dont like it. If you had shrimp or snails they will eat it.
