The electric blue is just a color variation of the GBR. There's no reason they wouldn't pair up. However, it's not really recommended to pair them together if you plan on keeping any fry.

Yes they can pair but most of the fry than not to survive sadly. I had a pair in my behalf I thought they where both female.
