Worms in tank.

I notested yestersay that I have what looks to be worms in my tank well above the waterline they are balck anyone know what they are? how they got there? and what to do about them?

I had the same problem a few months ago. I just knocked them into the tank and my neons ate them. Not sure what they were, but I looked closely at the gravel and it looked like there were more hiding in the UG filter.
