I would increase to at least 15 ml of met 14. You need to spot treat the bba you all ready have though. Turn off all water flow and squirt 5 ml directly on bba.leave filters off for 15 minutes. It will start to turn red and then die off. Repeat daily until gone

I have had 3 broadleaf chain sword plants for 6 months now and not one runner yet. Maybe just dosing glut is not enough to produce runners ?

I use black thread. It's hard to see on the driftwood and it eventually will dissolve and by that time the plants are attached.

It will eventually die in the water. A lot of big chain stores sell it as an aquatic plant when it's really not.

Finnex planted plus would work great for that. Pretty much same setup I have with low to med light and just metricide 14.

I would go with the finnex planted plus on amazon. Great light and not a bad price at all. It grows all my plants well and I have a pretty deep tank. Odyssea fixtures are junk. I had one and it lasted a whole 6 months before the ballast burned out.

Java fern should always be tied on to rocks or driftwood. It will die if you bury the rhizome in the substrate. I tie mine on to driftwood with black thread. Works great.
