Corals

Thinking of getting some corals tomorrow

Water test as of tonight:
Mag 1400
DKH 7.5
Cal 500 <~~~ I might have tested this wrong

Am I good here?

OK guys I just did another test and this is what I got

dKH - 8.5
Mag - 1150
Cal - 560
Nitrate - 0
PH - 8.2

Thinking about getting more corals

Your calcium cannot physically be that high. Looks fine to me. I'd just retest calcium. Btw I think that birdsnest is poccilopora but it's hard to tell in the pic.

I'm using elos calcium test kit. Which I'm still trying to get use to. So it could be off.

Yeah I had it looked it up and it is a poccilopora and not birdsnest

Hey guys just need some advice here. I figured I'll just continue the this thread instead of starting a new one. Anyways, I've been monitoring my water a little more closely and found that my calcium always read at 550. I'm using elos kit here. I either can't test this correctly or is it really at 550. I change my water every week. I stopped using kalkwasser for now. Corals seem fine. I just tested water this morning.

Mag 1350
All 9.5
Cal 550
PH 8.1- 8.27
Nitrate 0

I'm using red sea coral pro salt

Tank is running for 4 months now
