Well the Ich spots are all gone on my bleding heart tetra and I don't see any of my other fish coming down with it. I also agree with everyone, buy books and also explore the internet. Do as much research as possible before adding fish. There is a lot more involved than just adding water, decorations and fish. It can also be quite expensive to start an aquarium.

For a quarentine tank, could you also use aquarium water from an existing healthy tank? When I first started my 29 gal in early May, I used 4 cups of gravel/water from a relatives healthy one year old tank.
