Brushes off easy, I can do it with my finger but I'd rather not lol.

Tank update. Test results still the same but LR is going brown!!! Is this normal or is it dying? :(

What are the results again? It may just be in the cycling process and diatoms are coming, is the sand turning brown as well?

Calcium: 360
KH: 12 dkh
Phosphate: 0.5ppm
Nitrate: 20 ppm
Amonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm

Yes the sand is going a little brown but not much. Rocks are going like a Ginger colour!!

I forgot your phos is high, what kind of water are you using? And what kind are you using to top off?

You should be using either RO or RODI for both

Yep I'm using ro water direct from LFS, same with salt water mix.

Have you tested the SW or RO water from them (Before adding to your tank)? If the phos is coming out that high you might want to find a different source

No I haven't checked it yet but will do shortly.

Hey guys, can I just add salt to the tank? Or do i need ti mix the water up first? My salinity levels are down slightly.

Test results still the same. Does it usually take this long to show any signs of ammonia? Is there anything I can add to speed it up?

Do you know if you bought cured or uncured rock?

From your previous results I thought you may have cycled but didn't want to make the mistake of telling you and then you going and getting a fish only to have it die of an ammonia spike, now that it's staying stable I believe you bought cured rock and saw little to no cycle.

CUC :D

I also got a big feather duster :)

2 cleaner shrimp, 8 turbo snails, 6 hermit crabs and a black brittle starfish :D

Hey guys

I have this grass looking stuff on my substrate and glass. Is it a form of algae? If so, what works best to remove it?
