Arklatex Rimless Build

Hi all, I am starting a rimless iwagumi build! My plan is to get my rocks first and build around them.

Idea so far:

Finnex ray2 light
Eco-complete substrate
DIY CO2
In-line heater
canister filter, Fluval 106? not sure...

Seiryu stone (already ordered blind from ebay)
either HC or Glossostigma for the carpet
some other type of taller plant

I will probably be re-homing so harlequin rasboras into this tank.

Also I will probably attempt a DSM.

I got the stones from ebay today. They look good considering that I didnt even see them first! The rectangle drawn on the cardboard is the footprint of a MR. Aqua 11.4g that I will most likely be ordering today. The yardstick and square is the footprint of a 12g long. What does everybody think?

PS I really like the dimensions of the 11.4... It was between that and the 12 long for me, and since it was going to be my living room display tank, and the stand was long, I couldn't help but go for the 12.

Ordered the 11.4 and the 18" finnex ray2. Should be here here in a few days. Also got some eco-complete. I've never used it before, do I use it straight or mixed?

I wouldn't, you should be good with just the Eco.

Just an update. I got the tank and light in today, everything looks good. Had a few curious visitors as well!!!

Bah.. I have a place setup that they cant get at it. Already thought of that scenario! been through it with my first 2 tanks lol.

Update

So i had my scape laid out and the DSM going... Then I come home from work one day and the gf had been to petsmart and bought some fish for the 20h. Now that tank is over stocked with the following:

7x:HQ Rasbora
4x: platy
4x: molly
1 BNP
2x: mystery snails
Also RCS...

So my DSM got flooded before it was ready and Im scrambling to get the tank through a fishless cycle. My plan is to move all rasboras out of the 20 and into this tank. I have amazon lily pipes and an in-line co2 diffuser on the way from china. I will prob be getting a hydor in-line heater and a stand to hide everything soon. I started the DSM with DHG and some melted micro-sword from the other tank and haven't ordered any other plants yet. Pics below. Ignore the ugly equipment in the tank, its temporary.
