So a few days ago I brought home this beautiful male betta (he had been in a cup for weeks at the store and I kept checking for him each time I went, I finally caved in). I put him in a 2.5g cube until my 5G finishes the cycling process, and from the start he just rested on top of the silk plant. A lot. Hasn't been eating much. That made me take a closer look at him and I noticed that one of his ventral fins is all bent. It's so hard to see because he's not colored up yet.

Has anyone experienced this type of injury? I'd like to know if there's anything I can do for him aside from keeping him in pristine water... and if he'll heal up ok.

Any help is appreciated!

Not really sure what you mean but I'd reccomend just watching him, feeding, and keeping clean water! Hopefully he will heal on his own

Thx... he is beautiful!

Yes, front bottom fin, at a 90+ degree angle. He ignores Hikari pellets and will eat 1 frozen bloodworm. I'll keep at it.
