Could I add a peacock gudgeon?

Ok fell in love with these fish after getting a trio recently. I have a betta who peacefully lives with green rasboras and neo shrimp, could I add a peacock without causing problems?

Nope.. bettas will not commonly take well to other brightly colored fish..

You could try it by testing to see how he does with you current peacocks.

Ended up trying that this morning and it's definitely a no. While the betta didn't actually attack he was just relentless following the peacock and flaring at him.
