I'm getting close to getting my first saltwater aquarium going! I was wondering if I can cycle and cure at the same time in the display tank? I am going to be getting 50lbs if dry rock from BRS and 20lbs from my lfs. Do I need to add anything to raise the ammonia?

Dead table shrimp you get at the grocery store will give you that ammonia source. Put it in the tank in a piece of hosery and let it rot!

Sweet thanks! Now I'm I able to cycle and cure the rock at the same time?

Yes. Cycle and cure at the same time. Be prepared though. It's going to stink like no other for a few days as the rock finishes curing. It'll fade as the tank nears cycling.

Hope you gotta good protein skimmer. When mine cycled I filled the bottle like four times

Sweet thanks! Should I add my sand before or after the cycle?
