Hello, great forum!
My kids wanted fish so after playing around with those little countertop aquariums, I resurrected my 20 gallon aquarium. We have not had a very good experience starting out with a lot of fish dying off within weeks. Through good resources like this one, I think we have a plan. I’ll be posting a question later today asking for some advice. Thanks I’m advance. My family is looking forward to leaning and hopefully helping others someday.

Welcome. Starting off a little rough. Did you cycle your filter/tank? This takes 3-8 week to complete before adding any fish. Here are some links to help you Cycle your new Aquarium. Having a new tank you want to watch out for New Tank Syndrome.

Agreed, cycling your tank is every impotent. My friend just had new tank syndrome in her 20 gallon.
