I am having a problem with my corals. Figured I would post more about it in the sick fish section.
On about the 21st of December my hammer coral started to recede as well as my pearl bubble and mushrooms. The pearl has since come back but the hammer and mushrooms are gone. The only change to the tank was downsizing ph from a 750 to 2-240 in an effort to get rid of dead spots. I have since put the old one back in and the pearl came back.
Now the hammer and mushrooms once receded had this brown dusty looking stuff as well as what looked like coils on them. They literally died in a matter of 2-3 days it was that fast. I am at a total loss as to what it is but I am now noticing that my zoas seem to have this dusting on them as well. My leather and frogspawn seem to be shrinking to. I'm afraid I'm haveing some sort of infection. I have searched high and low with no luck so I am turning to all of you experts out there. The fish are fine as well as the inverts just seems to be the corals.
Now the specs and pics
