Recommendations for filter/s for a 29 gallon freshwater aquarium(medium to heavy stocking?

I have a 2217 eheim on a 29. It’s a bit much. Any of the smaller eheim canisters will work well unless you need flow

I prefer aquaclear hang on backs. Ac50 probably handle anything needed
