I have a 125 gallon freshwater community with all artificial plants and decorations. I would however like to add an easy to care for floating plant that looks decent, easy to care for and has good roots for fish or fry to hide in. Any suggestions?

Try frogbit. You can use small water lettuce or small water hyacinth but you need really strong light to keep them growing and healthy.

Hello jay...

There are several. Anacharis, Water sprite, Water wisteria, Pennywort. Any of these grow well floated close to the light.

I would recomend Water Sprite. The stuff grows like crazy when you float it. Great nutrient absorber too!
