The eggs are still sort of a grey color, only a few are bright white. Fingers crossed!

I have one running! Have a 20 sitting too. Having one cycled and heated makes a difference I'd think. Need more shelving anyways.

Excuse #2- You never know when you'll need a 2nd QT.

I don't really qt (fish from neds or you guys) only the big box fish I've recently purchased. Not like it matters as they're all going in the same tank. Just figured it be cheaper/more effective to medicate a 10 vs. 75 if need be. And it literally just dawned on me as I type this post... can I use a tank that's had meds (paraguard and rid ich) in it for a fry grow out?

You can use a pickle jar, tupperware, etc... to hatch them and when theyre ready to transfer youll have the 10gl free. Food for thought.

It is ram breeding season!!
I just broke up 'beast' tank!
Got 1 for sure pair put in 75g and moved 5 huge males to my 180!!
I got beast in my DT!!!

I am hatching out eggs in the dip and catch containers...

Way easier to artificially hatch then with parents.

Daaaaang.... Creating monsterous breeding chains. Look at us go. I just inquired abt a few good pairs of ruby bolivians also. "Cause i be dancing with myse-elf". But seriously this all makes for endless possibilities of great blood line mixes. And a strengthened gene pool can come from this.

Ann and I think we can see the eggs starting to develop. Water is just 80 so they may be developing slower. In any case I'm nearly sure now that these eggs are good.

I'd honestly rather raise out some bolivians, see them around here far less!

I like bolivian's personality better but the Germans are just so beautiful I tend to prefer them.

Take THAT out of context!

Poppa mentioned the ruby bolivians to me a long time ago..
I would like for everyone to see what they come up with on them.
Sini I am with you.
I never wanted GBR but once bitten.
I like the looks of bolivian, but also a lot of other fish I don't keep.
They would rock in a Geo tank due to similar shape IMO.

I just got that.......thanks for that Sini.

The ram girl you sent me is doing awesome with my male! Both completely happy with each other. Only downside to keeping them in the planted tank is that I can't see if they've laid eggs. I can only take hints, like if they're guarding an area. I did see the breeding tube, hopefully that means eggs soon!

So ...
One set of eggs in dip and pour hatched and wigglers are on bottom!
The other set Poppas Jays are starting to wiggle but still cling to upside down tray.
One pot in 10g hatch out is 100% fugus it appears and the moved wigglers are free swimming.
The fry (only ones still) with parents are hanging around the tray with the male and a NEW SET of eggs!
The fry numbers seem to be decreasing but they are not as easy to remove from this ten as the 40.
I will see how these parents are with both I guess?:nono:

Moved around tanks and all yesterday .
Have 2 pair of yellows and 1 pair of the Beast in the 75 g now.
This freed up the 33 long so I moved GBR and 2 pearls from 10g.
The 10g an a 20 tall are only empty tanks now.
Working on a replacement stand for where all the 5 gs were.
They are now under the 75 where the 2@20 t used to be....
Monday I have Friday on my mind!

Brook has got his 'Ram Garden'(y)

So I guess I got me the" Ram Ranch!!"

Using these;
Tom Dip & Pour Large

Working like the bomb!
Just ordered 5 more.
Allows me to float eggs in parent tank, use less MB,air stone rules small space, easy daily water changes and final MB removal after hatch with plastic cup like Andy recommended!(y)
Best of all it is EASY!!!!
So ...

So mean while back on the ranch;
30b with yellows now has 7,and 40b with Poppas has 6 and other 40b has 2 of poppas.
75 is happy with 2 beast and 4 yellows(expecting eggs tonight in this tank.).
Got bonus eggs last night from poppas 6!
And eggs coming(right now) from beast pair pulled last week in their own 10.!
Poppas wigglers are all almost off pot tray and other group is still wiggling and getting clean water in their dip in pour!

Easy with a cup water removal and clean new water from the parents tank they are floating in(this is the system I am running with now ).
I can change ounces with plastic cup,add new MB if needed, match the water exactly from tank .

Count now has 10 pair in their own tanks with others in 30/33/40/40/55/75!!
Fry(1 month or so and under) in 3 tanks(2@10&1@5).
Ram ranch!!!! I like it! Rocks and a dw post fence to keep them lil doggies in line!

I see a ramscape in this.:nono:

Eggs were removed from pair with fry last night into dip and pour.
The fry are still hanging with the parents...
I did safely vacuum out two by accident tonight that I added to parent free fry tank so the fry have been officially mixed!
