OK, I'll stop feeding it.. it's been 4 or 5 days since I've fed it last so I hope it colors up sometime soon.

I have some progress pictures in a moment.. along with a couple corals i believe the BTA killed when it was blown around the tank by the powerhead.

Duncan coral growing some new heads!

And these are the guys I think my BTA stung. When he got in the powerhead and got blown around, he landed on these. I witnessed it. I think he stung them and they are dying/dead now.

Half of this branching hammer melted away.. will the rest of it live?

And, my frogspawn hasn't fully opened up since then. Is he on his way out too? :(

That is a nice looking plate coral! I wish I had room for one. I had my moon brain in my sandbed and it got irritated quick so I have it up on the rockwork looking quite odd atm lol. Nice looking duncan, mine is growing a new head too.

When I get back from vacation I'll get some pics of them. We have the nems in a 8ft long x 2ft wide and the water depth is about a foot deep, theres a T5 ballast that hangs about 2ft above the water. Has 2 daylight bulbs and 2 super blue actinics. the white ones with green tips have never really colored up, the roses stay the same blood red sometimes get a little darker. Then there's our normal light to dark green ones.

8ft anemones?

Only in America.

You guys have to do everything supersize don't you?

You joke- but I've seen 5 foot anemone at a shop in Miami. The guy has had it for over 20 years

Ready to put the moves on the coral beauty. Going to set the rock all flat that way he can't hide. I have some dividers ready to divide the tank, and two nets to chase/trap him with.

My question is, with the tank fishless after I catch him, will my beneficial bacteria all die? Should I dose small amounts of ammonia so the tank is ready when I'm ready to reintroduce fish?

Yes, it will grow fine like that.
It should live it it isn't damaged or ill.

Very good to know! How do you feel about the frogspawn? He still looks much the same as in that picture. The tentacles may have came out a little more but I'm not 100% certain. He hasn't "melted away" yet.

Everything's going great. I feel like I have a good foot in the door now with what I'm doing.

Looking good :). Better to have good foot in the door versus bad food stuck in door. LOL

My frogspawn was like this for about a month after being stung by the BTA:

The past couple of days he's been opening up! Looks like this today:

Looks like he's going to make a full recovery :D Glad I waited!

Looking a lot more brown. Though I don't think as bulb-ous as he once was. But I read that's not a sign of ill health.

I think he's looking pretty good!
