I have a group of 4 sparkling gouramis in a (heavily planted) 28gal tank. I would like to add a pair of honey gouramis. Is this a bad idea?

shouldnt be... as long as they are comparable in size... i have 4 different types of gouramis and they all get along great...

As far as the gouramis I've ever had, they've often been the nicest and calmest in my tank.

Their beauty creates a soothing effect as they calmly glide through the water. I'm not sure I would add 1 different kind of gourami (just in case), but adding 2 shouldn't be a problem.

Sparkling Gouramis and Honey Gouramis are pretty well behaved, so I think you'll be fine adding in the Honeys. Dwarves and some of the Opalines can be a different story though. :)

Yes, I wouldn't try it with the larger ones. I don't really like them, anyway - but the little ones are full of personality.

Thanks :)
