it looks like the sump is a cooler. do you have any heat problems or cooling problems?
that looks like it would be a great idea.

Yes it is a cooler, I cut the lid in half so I could fit my protein skimmer. The other half cuts down on the water noise. I havent had any unusual heating or cooling problems, note- I dont even use a heater and cooling is controled by the fan above the sump.

what temp do you keep the tank at? what is the temp swing?

80 in the morning to 82 max in the evening. Thats the summer time.

60x24x24 and sits 43 inches off the ground

VERY NICE!!
I'm Just starting my 125 gal. Marine aquarium and I seem to have worms in my live rock :x I really want to place a few more rocks, a lot more sand and slightly furnish the tank with (some) coral. What can I get for a REAL clean up crew before I do this? I have 2 small clowns, 1 damsel and a few hermits, so I don't want to use traps!
