How big is the tank, what type of lighting do you have and do you dose any ferts?

55 gallon tank, catalina 3x54w but only 2 bulbs are on i dose flouris comp and excel per bottle instrictions. Lights are on 8 hours a day.

Looks almost like an N deficiency. What are your nitrates testing at? Got root tabs under the sword?

I tested my params yesterday, ammonia zero, nitrite zero and nitrAtes were between 5-10ppm i wanna say. I have API root tabs. It says to add monthly. Ive had the sword for 3 weeks id say and getting alot of new growth...how often should i add root tabs and how many per sword?

I always put one right under the sword... but I always used flourish tabs. The API tabs should be sufficient though.

It's either nitrogen or phosphate IMO.. If I remember correctly, comprehensive has little to none of each.

I do have both ferts...how much would you say to add of each...or of one and see if it helps...is it too late? Will it come back you think?

It's almost never too late. IF there's green there, it'll bounce back (with the exception of a few of the most difficult plants). Try nitrate first. Get it up to about 20ppm. If, after a couple weeks, it's not better... try the P

I put one in every 4-6 weeks.... should be sufficient... works great for me.
