Hello everyone
I am in the process of stocking my 35 hex. I am thinking of keeping some room for kuhli loaches. I have 3 peacock gudgeons, and I will soon be adding around 10 forktail rainbows, which stay very small.
I want to know if the black and striped versions are compatible? I would ideally like 3 striped and 2 black. Does anyone have experience with these kuhlis? Thanks :)

I have experience with both

Both are compatible, but my only catch is they might take the gudgeons food away

I was reading about that too. Since they are both bottom dwellers... I have read good things about their compatibility though. Are kuhlis voracious eaters?

The Kuhlis should be ok with the grudgeons. The Kuhlis are nocturnal so you shouldn't have a problem. In addition, Kuhlis are shy.

In my experience they are quite timid. I can't imagine them taking food away from any other fish since mine will only cautiously venture out when the coast is clear. Although I only have 4, they would probably be more outgoing in larger groups like goldfish loach boy described.

Thanks everyone. So are do the black and standard/striped ones hang together right?

Yea don't worry about it, it's like different colored mollies, that's all
I have come to the conclusion that the more you have, the more active you are, what are your floor dimensions?
