I have a question about your lighting.
Does that timer allow you to set up different programming for different lights. For example: Are you able to schedule your daytime lights from 12p-10p and then have your moonlights from 10p-11p?

Yes. It lets me control 2 daylight bulbs at a time, so if I wanted I could have 2 of them on for 10 hours and the other two on (in addition to the first 2) for 1 hour in the middle for a noon peak. It also lets me program the LED timer individually.

Nice... Im wanting to upgrade the lighting on my tank and I was afraid I was going to have to have 2-3 different power cords hooked up to 2-3 different timers.
Price on that is pretty outstanding as well.

Think I'll order up one for myself next payday.

Thanks for the info. :thanks:

No problem! :) Yeah, I really like how it has only one power cord. The only thing I might suggest is getting better bulbs, because the ones they come with aren't super high quality.

The panduros spawned again! I am leaving the eggs in the tank this time just to see what happens. The algae has been continuing to go away.

The HC is really starting to spread out. All it took was a mere steady dosing of Flourish.

Well, the plants are still growing well. The algae in the micro sword has started to come back, so I think I might just cut most of the leaves covered in algae off, and let them regrow. Two of the angels had red spots that looked like wounds, so I have been monitoring them and dosed melafix. The spots seem to be healing now.

The algae is coming back again in the micro sword. I am considering just removing all of the micro sword and planting more HC there.

It's kind of a mess right now... I am going to spend some time cleaning it up tonight.

The micro sword apocalypse has begun.

Casualties so far: too many to count

Just to show how tall the pile is

Don't worry, it isn't going in the trash. It will float in my other tank for a while until I can plant all of it in an emersed setup.

Only some of the dead leaves and algae I removed:

The tank as it stands now:

I am doing a water change and might try to spread the HC out more now. I think I made the right decision by removing the micro sword because it looked a bit too tall for my liking. I think it will look better when there is a giant HC carpet all the way across, that way the blyxa looks taller.

I am finally going to start dosing dry ferts. I measured out 3 different doses (I will be dosing 3 times per week) of Plantex CSM+B, KNO3, K2HPO4 and K2SO4. I am using a simple EI calculator. Hopefully this will help the plants grow as well as help fight the algae.

Here's the tank as of today. I added the driftwood back in. I'm considering moving the staurogyne repens to the front instead of the back.

I caught an angel venturing out of its corner. Not a very good pic, but it's the best I could do lol

Nice tank! I love the natural look of it. What kind of fish are you putting in?

Thanks! I already have apisto panduros and red spot angels, but I am going to try to get some rummynose tetras soon.
