CPD's are also at some fish stores by their proper name, or any of the other names above, so as you call independently owned local fish stores, you might want to mention all the names if at first they don't know what you are looking for. Celestichthys margaritatus

All this previously said, they are listed to go into a 10G tank.

I have my present ones in a 12G Edge tank. They barely use 1/3rd of the lower part of the tank, so I personally wouldn't be opposed to trying them in a 5. Make sure there are many leaves, stems and places for them to swim in and out of.

They are expensive. They are easy to find online, but shipping could make them even more expensive than picking up 6 at the lfs.

I don't have any local fish shops it would have to be from Petsmart or Petco. What would be available there?

Guppies and a few breed of tetras. They also have danios/rasboras, but I've never seen galaxy/celestials.

You could also do some ghost shrimp from Petsmart with a couple of male guppies.

The other latin name for CPDs is Danio margaritatus
AFAIK. Many still use that.
