Hopefully I will have more responses from this forum.

I have a glow light tetra that is super fat and, as an egg layer, cannot be pregnant. I can't even tell its gender.

I can't tell when any of them poops, so I cannot see if it is just backed up. I have fed smashed peas in case it is constipation and then it might look thinner if it poops. What could it be?

14 gallon newly cycled for a month or a few days shy
No new decor

5 glow light tetras - 2 added yesterday, but this one was just as fat before the additional fish.
No odd behavior, 1 of the other original 3 is rounder than the others, but not like this.

If it is a female with eggs, what happens when they are not fertilized? I am pretty sure the environment is not optimal for breeding and honestly I have no intention of breeding.

Side view which doesn't really do the girth justice, but is the best pic I could take.

To me that looks like an internal parasite.

May the force be with you.
