Powerhead

I am looking to buy a powerhead for my 180 gallon tank. I was thinking of a maxi jet 1200. I want to put it in the bottom of the tank to move the water. Is this strong enough or should I go with something else.

became a big fan of the Koralia power heads. i think they are by far the best i ever used.

lots of different opinions on powerheads. It really depends on what you're trying to do. Maxijet 1200s don't move a whole lot of water considering the size of your tank. What other water movement do you have in that tank?

Koralia is what i've heard to be the most popular lately. Good performance and limited risk of curious fish/inverts getting caught up in it.

All I have in the tank is a return from my wet dry filter. I want to make sure that the water is circulating enough so that there is movement on the bottom of the tank and any debris reaches the overflow box.
