my tank houses a couple of Newts and a small Bichir, so the water level on my tank hangs about 3 inches from the top for obvious reasons. the problem with that is that the agitation of the water causes bubbles, most likely from DOC (dissolved Organic Compounds). i wanted a way to diver the flow so it wpouldnt produce the bubbles as much, to keep the plants from being beaten down, and to move the water to other areas of the tank as well
Heres the before:
i had a broken tube from a python, so i cut it in half, and added some suction cups with a couple of cable ties:
Now here is the AFTER:
and some closeups...
less bubbles, and my plants are free to grow tall!
