As promised, a picture!

He is a very pretty iridescent blue green with a mostly yellow anal and dorsal fin. The flash kind of distorts his colors but I couldn't get a nice clear shot without it. He is in my 1.5 gallon, which is bare for now. I will add some sand and wood a little later, but for the time being it will be kept bare to make daily pwc's easier until I can find my internal filter for the tank. No need for a heater right now, though. My ac is not working well so the place hovers between around 78-84. I have a mini heater to pop in when I need it though, although odds are he will be moved into my divided 10 gal soon enough. Just want the platy fry that are in one half to grow up a little more before moving them into the big tank.

Me too! I'm very sad that I can't get a decent pic of him without the flash on though. It kind of distorts them. He is such a pretty blue with a deep yellow at the fin edges. Even my totally colorblind boyfriend can make out the patterning. Funny thing is, blue and gold were my high school colors.

The Eagles... So so so sad to be the eagles. The first class ('86 I think) got to pick the mascot, and it got down to a choice between the Eagles or the Platypi, and eagles won. Platypi would have been sooooo much better, seeing as we have always been a school full of oddballs. I graduated from a boarding school for gifted and talented students. Sure, eagles "soar above the rest" but come on... How original of a mascot is a duck billed platypus?

I agree a duck billed platypus would be amazing. Our school is actually quite sad when it comes to the mascot. They're supposed to be making a tribute to the Native Americans that used to live here... And what do they do? Make a completely inaccurate portrait and mascot. And they call the girls Lady Braves... And somehow we're highly ranked... Don't ask me how.

They're all named after the sitcom Will & Grace.... Mainly because I couldn't think of any other names when I got my first Betta and I just stuck with the theme

They look great! I wish my babies were so colored up. The only color they are showing so far is black. But I am trying to breed black bettas so thats a good thing I guess.
