Can a 55 sustain 200 apple/mts snails? Also do snails eat their young?

Snails don't eat their young except maybe assassin snails. Probably not though. A 55G can sustain any number of snails
But just don't let it overpopulate. A 55G can handle any number of snails, I have around 100 in my 10G.........just get some assassin snails to control the populations

Haha thanks just curious does anyone remove the snail shell after the snail has passed? I know this sounds pretty malicious, but my fish love to eat the body. The shell kind of makes a cool decoration as well even if it sounds a little weird.
