My tank seems to have a whole whack of smaller size brittle stars. But they are growing pretty good. Can I do something about this ? Do they munch on corals?

they are completely fine, they stay small they wont get huge like the ones you buy. they will leave your corals alone as well.

Harloquin Shrimp will rid you of all stars.

Harlequin shrimp are obligate star feeders and not a solution to a "problem". They belong in specialized care IMO/E.

I agree, they are harmless and the population will likely fade away. Tanks tend to go through "phases" where one thing or another will "pop up". Stars, sponges, algaes, etc. I'd view it as a good sign of a healthy and maturing tank. :)
