what kind of snail is this?

I'm afraid I might be in for a snail problem. This is the only one I've seen so far but I'm not 100% sure what kind it is.

It looks like a bladder or pond snail to me.

Looks like a pond snail. I have one. I think it's responsible for many many many snail babies, though I'm not sure yet.

It likely will. I just found four egg "slime tubes" when I was moving all my plants from one tank to another.
