has anyone ever used a med called quick cure? says its for ick and fungus.

A better treatment is to raise the tank temp slowly to 86-87dF and leave it there for 2 weeks after the spots are gone.

Ick can only be treated via meds at one stage in it's three stage life cycle. The heat method speeds up the life cycle and kills off the parasite.

I second the heat treatment over any medication on the market. It has no ill effects on fish, live plants, or inverts. Do what Jchillin suggests and your ich will be gone. Just be sure to keep the heat up for two weeks after the symptoms disappear to kill any remaining parasites in the gravel.

I agree with both above posts. The heat method is the best method for the fish to erradicate ich.
