My kribs are exhibiting breeding behavior again. My female was dancing in front of my male. Who is showing a good bit of red today. Just look at my female. She is gorgeous.

She has always had better colors than most of the females I have seen. It's such a deep purple. I guess because they are new to me I am a little excited. Lol

Kribensis are deffiantly cool. They just breed so much that it kills their value. And they can be nasty buggers

Even when mine had eggs they weren't super nasty. They would chase other fish away. But it wasn't relentless and they never harassed them. Just like your average chasing. I think I'm gonna become addicted to dwarf cichlids. There is a pair of the orange apistogramma cacatouides at my lfs that I wish a had a tank set up for.

These are my GBRs. Ariel and Eric! Yes I have two little girls obsessed with The Little Mermaid right now! These are by far my favorite fish in our tank

Apistogramma cacatuoides are awesome fish.

Just found our female Apisto gibbiceps guarding a very small batch of eggs. As far as I know, this is their first spawn, so I'm not expecting much... But even if this batch doesn't make it, they'll get it right eventually.

Congrats, hope they pull through. My apistogramma cacatuoides still have fry and it's their first spawn

Yeah you never know. Our panduro pair were great parents from the start.

*edit* Hubs and I have just been challenged to an Apisto hongsloi grow out/breeding contest by a club friend. Both of us got a bag of juveniles from the same breeder. Wish us luck!

My wild panduros were the same, I guess I have good luck with my breeding pairs. I think a grow out contest would be fun. Feed them good and hearty. Throw some blackworms in the mix if you have them. Apistogramma seem to love them

We have some freeze dried blackworms. I refuse to have anything to do with the live ones. Plus, you have to refrigerate them, and we only have one refrigerator, and NO, just NO. lol

My GBRs have decided that they want to be fed with the turkey baster. Lol I have been using the baster to feed my ADFs and today the rams were following the baster around the tank waiting to steal the bloodworms and the frog pellets. I actually think they like the pellets more than the frogs do. But my ADFs love the bloodworms!

I have the frozen too. Yea live are a little to much care. You have to rinse them everyday and stuff.

I went to the grocery and came back to a big batch of eggs from my kribs. Do you guys treat with anything? I have heard of people using methylene blue. Their last batch of eggs got fungus.

Guys my ph is at 7.8, will that kill my GBRs? My temp is at 80-82°f, i feed omega 1 tropical flakes once a day and a cube of frozen blood worms once a week. Anyway i can increase they chance of breeding? They are each atleast 4 months old.
